The online Assembly for the Baptist Union of Great Britain took place on 16 September 2020.
It was an opportunity to hear about and pray for the work of Baptists Together. We presented the Annual Report for 2019 and provided updates on our work so far in 2020 and our plans for the future.
We also covered some topics required under our constitution, including affirmation of the appointment of the Treasurer and the Moderator of the Trustee Board as follows:
- The Members of the Assembly affirm the appointment of John Levick as Treasurer of the Baptist Union of Great Britain
- The Members of the Assembly affirm the appointment of Alastair Mitchell-Baker as Moderator of the Trustees of Baptist Union of Great Britain
Sadly due to the unique and difficult context, we have had to miss some of the usual parts of our Assembly, like the In Memoriam and Welcoming In The New Ministers. We as a team believed the best way to give these areas our full and proper attention and respect was to have them in person, at our next Assembly.
The event was hosted on Crowdcast and streamed to our YouTube channel too, where the full evening is now re-watchable. We hope that you enjoyed the evening with us, and that you felt connected to Baptists Together, BUGB and the wider Baptist Family.
